Perfect Balance Wellness Project

What if there was a simple, non-invasive, affordable way to check up on your body’s nutrient mineral sufficiency? To assess the abundance of health-supporting bacteria in your gut microbiome? To engineer the perfect balance of these health-building substances with a plan that’s based on solid lab-reported functional health testing?

Great news! There is!

Perfect balance — microbiome

We can’t overstate the importance of microbiome balance. Those teeny bacteria regulate many aspects of human health. A healthy balance of microbes contributes to so many factors — from metabolism to immune function and more! Fortunately, we have a lot of influence over that balance. It can shift quickly in our favor once we know what to do.

“A low diversity of microorganisms is associated with a plethora of diseases, including: allergy, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases, and even neuropsychiatric disorders. Thus an interaction of microorganisms with the host immune system is required for a healthy body.”

“The correct microbial-based education of immune cells may be critical in preventing the development of autoimmune diseases and cancer.”

Perfect balance — nutrient minerals

There is a synergistic effect between the gastrointestinal (GI) system and your body’s nutrient minerals. Thousands of enzyme reactions in the body depend on the presence of certain minerals as co-factors. You need a balanced mineral system in order to digest, detoxify, heal tissue, and convert food to energy. Minerals also contribute to the structure of bones and teeth.

We introduce minerals to the body in several ways. They are present at birth, in the foods / beverages you consume, and in your external environment. For instance, you might breathe in fumes or absorb elements from cosmetic or household products through your skin.

A variety of factors influences mineral balance. For example, hormone levels, the presence of competing or cooperative nutrients and metals, your body’s metabolic efficiency, and how much stress you are under can all influence mineral balance.

A healthy GI tract favors nutrient digestion, absorption, and assimilation. However, you need mineral sufficiency to create that healthy environment. It’s kind of a “chicken and the egg” situation. The balance of bacteria in your colon affects nutrient mineral absorption. For example, elevated gut pH compromises the absorption of certain minerals including calcium. Bacterial balance is the main influence on colon pH. Accordingly, an abundance of friendly bacteria shifts the pH in your favor.

So as we see, GI health is a strong influence on mineral balance. This is why even for situations where you might think minerals act independently — say, maintaining bone density — your best efforts to create a healthy outcome can be compromised if your gut is out of whack.

The Perfect Balance Wellness Project may be a good fit for you if you’re looking to promote healthy balance in your body. It’s a simple approach that’s individualized for you, based on objective functional lab data. And yet it’s also both non-invasive and affordable.

Here’s a sampling of what you stand to gain while moving toward perfect balance:

  • More consistent energy levels
  • Greater stability of moods
  • More stable blood sugar balance
  • Greater resilience against “bugs” in the environment
  • Increased comfort in your body
  • Greater understanding of how your body functions
  • Supportive online community to help you gain confidence with an eating style that promotes both microbiome and mineral balance
  • Peace of mind

Here’s how it works:

If you’re interested in joining the Perfect Balance Wellness Project, your first step is to schedule a no-cost 15-20 minute phone conversation with me so we can see if it seems like a good fit. Email info@wellnessimages.com to set up a time.

Moving ahead from there, here’s how it goes:

  • I’ll forward you the registration page so you can sign up for the program you prefer. There are two options. You can register for a series of three testing segments within one year, or register for one 3 to 4 month segment at a time.
  • Then you’ll complete a health history form and return it to me.
  • If you’re not already a member of the Eat The Rainbow: Whole Plant Food Diversity Facebook group, I hope you’ll join! We recommend an eating style that features lots of whole plant foods. It does not exclude animal products.
  • I’ll connect you with test kits, and you’ll submit them to the respective labs, along with the lab’s processing fees. The current lab fee for the hair mineral test is $43. One uBiome kit is $89. UBiome offers discounted pricing of $199 for three kits. It’s a great deal to help you track your progress!
  • Note: Hair sample collection cannot be completed in the state of New York.
  • Once both test results are in, I’ll review them and create an individualized written report. The report includes an explanation of the findings and a recommended plan to move you toward greater balance. The plan will also include eating style guidance, lifestyle tips, and supplement recommendations.

Reviewing your Results

  • For your initial test results, we’ll schedule two hour-long phone or Zoom meetings about a week apart. This allows us to review both test results plus the recommendations — and have time for questions.
  • The Perfect Balance Wellness Project uses non-invasive strategies and supports lifestyle change. It can take some time to replenish your body’s stores of certain minerals and populations of beneficial bacteria. And yet, you truly cannot build health without giving your body the raw materials it needs.
  • Think about what it’s like when you work out at the gym. Fitness involves forming lifetime habits. The balancing we do here is similar — small steps in the right direction ultimately lead to better health.
  • We monitor your progress with follow-up testing, allowing us to modify your program as things change. Follow-up testing works the same way that initial testing does, except that we review both sets of results and recommendations within a single hour-long phone / Zoom consultation.

Program Fees

  • When you register for a program of three testing segments to be completed within a year, the fee is $225 at registration plus $72 per month for 11 months. (This includes four individual consultation sessions.)
  • The program fee when registering for an initial testing segment, including recommendations to cover a 3-4 month time span is $395. (This includes two individual consultation sessions.)
  • The program fee when registering for a follow-up testing segment, including recommendations to cover a 3-4 month time span is $310. (This includes one individual consultation session.)

Please keep in mind…

The Perfect Balance Wellness Project is designed primarily for people in good health who want to optimize their well-being. If you are working with a more complicated health situation, I will most likely recommend that you consider the Functional Nutrition Consultation program instead.

I am a functional nutrition practitioner, and not a medical doctor. I do not diagnose any medical condition, nor prescribe pharmaceuticals. Please consult with your medical provider for any medical concerns you may have.
