Single Functional Lab Test
We sometimes wish to explore a single lab test independently. In other words, to run one single functional test outside of a health coaching program in which we would use the data from several tests together to build a more complete picture of a person’s underlying functional health status. This Single Lab Test Policy excludes Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, which is described separately.

Functional Lab Testing: How To Do It
Most of the lab tests we use evaluate saliva, urine, or hair samples, which you can easily collect at home and then submit directly to the lab. Sometimes a blood test will be used; in this case you will need to arrange for a blood draw (we can help you figure out how). Occasionally we may use a stool sample.
In running any lab test, there are two fees involved. The lab charges a fee for running the test and providing results data. This fee varies from lab to lab and from test to test. The lab fee is paid directly by the client at the time the request is submitted.

Consultation & Support
There is also a consultation fee. The consultation covers interpretation of test results plus recommendations on how to address any imbalances which may be revealed. It is generally an hour in length and may be conducted by phone, Skype or in-person.
In addition to the consultation itself, you may wish to take advantage of post-consultation support. Email support is included for three months following your consultation. You may also wish to touch base by phone / Skype / in person several times as you implement your protocol.

Your consultation includes a review of the lab findings, and customized lifestyle / supplement recommendations. Three months’ email support begins the day of your consultation. You’ll also pay the lab’s fee directly when submitting your test kit.

Retests
After about three months, a retest will normally be recommended. You’ll also pay the lab fee when you submit your test kit.
